HelloDear A space for two

Terms

Last updated: September 13, 2026

HelloDear is an iPhone app that gives two people a shared space. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

Accounts and spaces

You must be at least 13 to use HelloDear. Keep your sign-in method, including your Apple Account, Google account, or phone number, secure.

An account can belong to one space it has not left at a time, while retaining access to eligible historical spaces. Each space has a maximum of two members. Once paired, its history belongs to those original two people.

Your content

You retain your rights to your messages, photos, and videos. You authorize HelloDear to store, back up, and display your content as needed to provide the service, including making it available to the other member of your space.

Your memories will never be used for ads or shared with third parties. We kindly ask that you only share moments and content that truly belong to the two of you.

Acceptable use

Do not upload content that violates applicable law, infringes others’ rights, or is shared without authorization.

Sexual content involving minors and any content that sexualizes children are prohibited. Relevant accounts will be removed and reported as required by law.

Do not use the service to harass, threaten, stalk, or coerce anyone. Do not upload someone else’s private photos or messages without their consent.

Do not break into the service, scrape data without authorization, disrupt its operation, or try to access other spaces. You may not resell the service or its storage.

HelloDear may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules and make reports required by law.

Free features and subscriptions

HelloDear includes free features and 1 GB of storage. Plus and Plus 400 are optional storage subscriptions.

Prices vary by region and are shown in the app before purchase. Paid plans do not currently include a free trial.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Manage subscriptions on your iPhone under Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Each subscription pays for one designated space shared by its original two members. Only one person pays for a space at a time. The other member can take over after the original paid period ends and the subscription is confirmed to have stopped.

If you assign a subscription to another space, the original space keeps its already-paid retention period. Future renewals pay for the newly designated space. Historical content does not move between spaces.

Apple handles payments and refunds. Submit refund requests to Apple.

If an unarchived space exceeds the free allowance after a subscription ends, existing content remains available to view and download. New file uploads are blocked until usage is within the allowance or you subscribe again.

Archived spaces follow the retention periods in our Privacy. If no one continues paying, they are permanently cleared after that period. Archiving does not cancel Apple auto-renewal.

Archiving and account deletion

You can archive a space or delete your account in the app. Archiving prevents both members from adding content. Account deletion and space archiving are separate actions.

There is a 30-day recovery period after account deletion. Personal data is permanently deleted after that period. Shared content follows each space’s retention period, and restoring an account does not automatically reactivate every historical space. See our Privacy.

Service availability

HelloDear takes reasonable steps to maintain the service and protect data, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Keep a separate backup of important content. You can download photos and videos still retained in your space to your device.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, the service provider is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

These terms do not limit rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Changes to these terms

Revised terms are published on this page with an updated date. Significant changes are also announced in the app. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Taiwan Taipei District Court has jurisdiction at first instance, except where mandatory local law requires otherwise.
